On the morning of August 3rd, Vice President Xia Chunming attended the launching ceremony of "Virtual Teaching and Research Section of Shanghai Clothing Professional Basic Course Group". The launch ceremony was presided over by Professor Xie Hong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Institute of Textile and Clothing. The participants were leaders and teachers from Shanghai University of Engineering Technology, Xinjiang University, Shanghai Institute of Visual Arts, Anhui University of Engineering and Jiaxing University.
"Virtual Teaching and Research Room of Basic Courses Group of Clothing Major" is a virtual teaching and research activity platform featuring basic courses group of Clothing major, which is based on the curriculum resources of the physical teaching and research room of Textile and Clothing University, and built by modern information technology and "Collaborative innovation Alliance of high-level applied universities in the G60 Science and Innovation Corridor of the Yangtze River Delta". In June 2022, it was approved as one of the first municipal virtual Teaching and Research office construction pilot units by Shanghai Education Commission.
At the meeting, Vice President Xia Chunming pointed out that the Ministry of Education launched the first batch of virtual teaching and research section pilot construction work in July 2021, aiming to explore the construction of student-centered collaborative education mechanism in the era of "intelligence +" relying on modern information technology, build a new integrated education and teaching grass-roots organization, and comprehensively improve teachers' teaching ability. It is hoped that "Virtual Teaching and Research Office of Basic Courses Group of Clothing Specialty" will adhere to the principle and policy of "openness, co-construction, sharing and co-prosperity: common exploration, common innovation and common practice". Based on the research and practice of the physical teaching and research Department, the teaching resources of local universities in the Yangtze River Delta region should be given full play, the teaching paradigm should be formed, and a number of high-quality courses should be built to drive the overall reform of curriculum teaching and the improvement of professional teaching quality in this region.
Professor Xie Hong, the person in charge of "Virtual Teaching and Research Section of Basic Course Group of Clothing Major", introduced the work tasks, course construction planning and teaching and research activity plan of the second half year of the section. Professor Xie said that the Teaching and Research Section will closely focus on the construction goal, guide the curriculum reform with intelligent technology, tamp the content of teaching and research, and jointly improve the quality of professional teaching by building an open platform for communication.
After the meeting, the Virtual Teaching and Research Section held the first teaching and research seminar, and invited Professor Xue Eryong, distinguished Professor of Beijing Normal University, doctoral supervisor, Vice president of China Institute of Education Policy and director of the Discipline Office of the Department of Education, to give a lecture on "Higher Education Reform and Curriculum Construction Policy Interpretation".
The representatives of other universities participating in the construction of the virtual Teaching and Research section have expressed the need to attach great importance to the construction of the teaching and research section, hoping to rely on the teaching and research section to carry out teaching reform, improve the ability of teachers, and put forward valuable suggestions for the development of the work of the teaching and research section.
