On the afternoon of 5th July, a joint course show of 《Theme Design》and 《Fashion Performance Internship》was held in the Performance Hall on the 3rd floor of Art Building. The joint program show was planned and completed by students from 2018 students majoring in Fashion design and 2020 students majoring in performance, under the guidance of professional tutors Hu Yue, Hu Xiao, ZHENG Tong, and Li Jun.
《Theme Design》 is a major compulsory course for undergraduate students majoring in fashion design. The course aims to guide students to master the systematic methods of the generation, expression, and realization of creative design thinking, cultivate their hands-on design ability and lay a solid foundation for subsequent graduation projects and work positions.
《Fashion Performance Internship》 is a practical course for undergraduate students majoring in performance, which requires students to complete the organization, planning, and execution of fashion shows based on theoretical knowledge and performance skills, to cultivate students' performance practical ability.
In this joint course show, students majoring in fashion Design used fresh visual expression techniques to highlight their style in modeling tailoring, color matching, pattern creativity, and secondary fabric design. Students majoring in performance used diversified performance skills and incorporated traditional cultural etiquette by understanding the concept of fashion works. They created a visual feast for visiting teachers and students.
This joint course show is the characteristic teaching activity relaunched by the Art Department since the 2020 epidemic. It is also a teaching achievement under the Teaching Quality Month. Through this activity, all the students who participated in the performance got beneficial training and improvement in their respective majors, which is of great significance to improve the education and teaching level of the two majors in our department.
