On the afternoon of May 24, 2021, a mobilization rally for the 7th China Internet+ College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition was held by the Department of Fashion Art (Sino-French Cooperation), School of Textiles and Fashion, in the conference room on the 1st floor of the teaching building on Xianxia Campus. Li Chunxiao, head of the department, delivered a speech about the specific role of university students participating in the Internet + College Students’ Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in enhancing their teamwork, scientific innovation, and research ability and practice ability. Wang Hanjiao, a graduate student party member, was also invited to share her experience on How to plan for four years in college. Over 100 students from freshmen and sophomores attended the meeting.
Wang Hanjiao is a graduate of 2021 from the School of Textiles and Fashion, majoring in Fashion and Accessory Design (Sino-French Cooperation). She was admitted to the Royal College of Art and received offers from other universities with her outstanding academic achievements. As well as a bachelor's degree in Art from Shanghai University of Engineering and Science and IFA, Wang also has a degree in psychology from Huadong Normal University. She is also the Owner-Principal of an original brand - IMPRESSION and the Excellent Ambassador of CWF Fashion Talent Network. Wang shared her four-year study planning, introduced some example cases of the postgraduate entry works for the Royal College of Art and some competition and exhibition cases. The lecture gave a detailed explanation of laying a design found in the first year, studying key courses in the second year, attending competitions and exhibitions in the third year, and preparing for further study at home and abroad in the fourth year. Wang also mentioned the significance of participating in competitions during college years, which will help students for their future study and career, so students were encouraged to actively join various competitions to accumulate experience during the study period.
