The Textile and Clothing College is a college that focuses on textile and clothing engineering technology, with interdisciplinary integration and coordinated development such as art design and management. It is a national first-class professional construction unit and a Shanghai first-class professional construction unit, an international engineering education certification college, a course ideological and political demonstration college, a full English professional construction unit, and a construction unit that connects undergraduate and college majors.

The college has four departments: Textile Engineering Department, Fashion Design and Engineering Department, Fashion Art Department, and Fashion Design and Communication Department; Seven undergraduate majors include Fashion Design and Engineering, Textile Engineering, Fashion and Apparel Design, Fashion and Apparel Design (Sino French Cooperation), Performance, Textile Engineering (all in English), and Non-woven Materials and Engineering. We have master's programs in the first level disciplines of Textile Science and Engineering, as well as master's programs in Art Design and Materials and Chemical Engineering, as well as six second level disciplines such as Textile Engineering, Textile Chemistry and Dyeing and Finishing Engineering, Clothing Design and Engineering, Clothing Industry Economics and Management, Fiber Materials Engineering, and Fashion Art Design.
After years of development, the college has a strong teaching and research team with a reasonable professional, professional title, age, educational background, and academic structure, providing a guarantee of teaching staff for cultivating students.
