On the morning of September 22, 2023, the Institute of Textile and Garment held a special promotion meeting for 2024 national project application in the C210 conference room of the Art Building. Wang Yansong, Vice President of Shanghai University of Engineering Science, accompanied by Xie Hong, Director of the Scientific Research Department, Li Chonggui, Yang Kun, and Deng Na, executive director of the Preassembly Institute. The Scientific Research Office invited Professor Caizaisheng and Professor Wang Xianfeng from Donghua University as the project guidance experts to attend. Party Secretary Zhu Junxuan, President Xin Binjie, vice President Qu Hongjian, Li Chunxiao, Xu Lihui and more than 30 teachers who applied for national projects attended the meeting. The promotion meeting was presided over by Xin Binjie, president of the Institute of Textile and Garment.
Vice President Wang Yansong thanked the two experts for coming, and also recognized the school's active organization of this activity. He hoped that the school would take this opportunity to attach great importance to the application of national scientific research projects, actively provide convenient conditions for teachers in the subsequent application process, and strive to achieve better results.
On behalf of the college, President Xin welcomed the visit and guidance of President Wang, the leaders of the Scientific Research Office and two experts. He made an objective review and analysis of the overall situation of the fund declaration this year, and showed a significant decline in the proportion of green foundation that can be declared. From the aspects of the discipline composition of the college (the proportion of engineering, management and art) and the scientific research level of teachers, the ideas and implementation measures were put forward to strengthen the scientific research organization system, actively enable the growth of talents, and identify scientific countermeasures, and spare no effort to lead the backbone teachers to fight the fund battle.Subsequently, Vice President Qu Hongjian introduced the basic situation of scientific research of the College of Textile and Garment in recent years, analyzed and summarized the problems existing in the process of national project application and subsequent improvement measures, and will continue to actively contact experts and organize teachers of various disciplines for one-to-one guidance, so as to provide good services for teachers applying for national project.
At this promotion meeting, Teacher Zheng Yuansheng, Sun Guangwu, Yan Jingjing, Xue Haolong and Li Na reported the situation of 2023 National Natural Science Foundation project application and expert review opinions. Vice President Wang Yansong and two experts respectively put forward suggestions on the problems existing in the declaration, and also encouraged teachers to actively declare and concentrate on revising the project declaration, as long as the efforts are in place, they will be able to successfully obtain approval.
This meeting has provided important guidance and support for the application of national projects of the school. President Wang and two professors have provided valuable guidance and suggestions for teachers, which will also lay a good foundation for teachers of the school to improve the quality of the application. The College will take this meeting as an opportunity to organize a scientific research team to continue to promote the declaration of national projects, improve the quality of declaration writing, and go all out to achieve a breakthrough in national projects.
