In order to promote the publication of English scientific and technical papers of high level in Textile and Clothing College, in the afternoon of May 9, Textile and Clothing College organized an exchange meeting on the guidance of English scientific and technical papers (SCI papers) writing skills, which was attended by teachers and postgraduates of Textile and Clothing College's departments and offices in the form of offline and online.
The conference invited Dean Xin Binjie and Vice Dean Xu Lihui to give guidance on English scientific and technical paper writing skills and share their experiences. Mr. Xin and Ms. Xu started the communication from why to write English scientific and technical papers, how to write English scientific and technical papers, discussed in depth about literature search and information extraction, selection of high-level journals, and the framework of paper writing, and analyzed in detail about how to write abstracts, preliminaries, results and discussions and conclusions of the papers, as well as the techniques of using EndNote, a tool for writing references, and so on. At the same time, he used his own example of supervising graduate students' thesis writing to teach writing skills.
According to the two teachers, the title and abstract of the paper are the key to paper writing. When writing English thesis, the structure should be arranged according to the requirements of unused journals, the logic of the thesis should be clear, and the language should be precise and professional.
This exchange meeting provides a platform for teachers and graduate students to learn and communicate with each other, which is of great significance to improve English scientific and technical thesis writing.
