On November 20, 2022, the international students and teachers from the School of Textile and Garment of Shanghai University of Engineering Science and Technology walked into the Shanghai Textile Museum and M50 Creative Park to taste the aesthetics of life and experience the textile and garment culture.
The first stop of the visit is the Shanghai Textile Museum. Under the guidance of the docents, everyone will visit each exhibition hall in turn, and taste the textile culture of thousands of years in the museum;The brilliant achievements of Shanghai textile and the spirit of industrialists in the capture Hall;Learn fiber knowledge and modern textile technology in science museum;Learn about the history of textile machinery and the spirit of model workers in the special museum.
After the visit, the students experienced digital printing DIY, including pre-processing, digital printing, post-processing, etc., and customized their favorite patterns on T-shirts or bags.
Then, everyone went into the science popularization classroom to watch the artistic effects of different blue dyeing methods, and followed the manual teacher to experience the tie-dyeing technique and create a unique tie-dyed handkerchief.
After walking out of the Shanghai Textile Museum, we walked into the M50 Creative Park located at 50 Moganshan Road to feel the charm of the integration of the old textile factory and modern art.First, we visited the latest exhibitions "UPUPUP" and "Preparing for Tomorrow" in the eight galleries, which inspired the students to create.Next, the students and teachers experienced the creation of brushless painting, and after learning the color matching skills and production methods, they created a unique fluid painting art.
On the way back, the students were full of praise for this activity, thinking that this activity is rich in content and strong interaction, which not only let them appreciate the profound heritage of Shanghai's textile and garment industry, but also feel the endless life of Shanghai's textile and garment industry.
